A group of young men relaxing at Tocumwal in the New South Wales southern Riverina, circa 1910.
$ 43.72
Gelatin silver print photograph, 87 x 137 mm, printed on postcard stock; verso wet-stamped ‘H. A. Herberte, Photo., Tocumwal’; a few marks to the margins, but the image itself is hardly affected. These likely lads were probably part of a sporting team or church social group out for a picnic in the fresh air at beautiful Tocumwal, on the New South Wales side of the Murray. With a violin, a tuba, a cricket bat, a tennis racket and a shotgun, how could they have failed to have some fun?
